This action is intended to be a juridical attack against the precariousness of our colleagues with Temporary, Auxiliary and Contract Agents contracts. A sentence of the European Civil Service Tribunal has decreed that contracts should be in line with the general working principles directives of the EU and characterised by stabile working conditions. What is new is that the Tribunal has applied this directive to an agency which is part of the European Institutions, not recognising the Staff Regulations of the European Communities as the only document applicable to its staff.
On this basis, we decided to inform all JRC colleagues who suffer from this contract precariousness.
